All the deals that happened at Man Utd in the transfer window as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought in the likes of Donny van de Beek.

Manchester United did not get everything they wanted in the summer transfer window, but were still able to seal three major first team signings.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has a set squad until January, with the aim of improving on United's poor start to the league season. He will hope the likes of Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani can achieve his goals at Old Trafford.

The summer also saw a number of key outgoings from Old Trafford, including Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling as well as additions for the future at United.

Here are the full ins and outs from the summer of 2020...

Donny van de Beek from Ajax, £35million plus add-ons

United's first arrival of the summer came as something of a bolt from the blue. Van de Beek had long been linked with Real Madrid, but United retained an interest and sealed a deal that was largely lauded as good value.

An initial £35million fee for the 23-year-old represented good value and the Dutchman came straight into Solskjaer's squad to compete with the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

Edinson Cavani, free agent plus agents' fees

The signing of the veteran Uruguayan was another surprise to many, given he had been a free agent all summer but United did not make their move until the final few days of the window. And signing a 33-year-old on big wages was generally seen as a risk, despite the structure of Cavani's contract, an initial one-year deal with the option for another 12 months

The deal was eventually announced late on deadline day, with United adamant that Cavani will provide experience up front and competition for current forwards Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Alex Telles from Porto, £13.6million plus add-ons

United had shelved plans to sign a left-back midway through last season. But they decided to pursue the position after long-standing interest in Brazilian international Telles and Sergio Reguilon.

After Reguilon moved to Tottenham, United made their move for Telles, who was eventually unveiled for £13.6illion plus add-ons in a deadline day announcement.

Alex Telles is unveiled as a Manchester United signing

Amad Diallo from Atalanta, £19million plus add-ons

United agreed a £19million up front deal for the 18-year-old winger, previously known as Amad Traore, with an additional £8.5m in add-ons.

The Atalanta wide man, who is tipped for a big future, is set to join up with United in the January window after gaining more first team experience in Serie A for the next few months. The left-footed star has been compared to Lionel Messi by teammates.

Other ins for Under-23s and youth team: Facuno Pellistri (from Penarol), Marc Jurado (from Barcelona), Joe Hugill and Logan Pye (both Sunderland), Isak Hansen-Aaroen (Tromso), Charlie McNeil (Man City), Alvaro Fernandez (Real Madrid), Radek Vitek (Olomouc), Alejandro Garnacho (Atletico Madrid), Willy Kambwala (Sochaux).

Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan

After offloading Sanchez to Antonio Conte's side in the same summer as selling Romelu Lukaku to the Serie A giants, United again looked to ship the Chilean in 2020.

Sanchez, a complete flop since signing for United from Arsenal in January 2018, eventually joined Inter on a permanent free transfer, with United happy to allow him to leave.

Andreas Pereira to Lazio, season-long loan

The Brazilian began the 2019/20 campaign among Solskjaer's first team favourites, starting regularly either on the right or centre of midfield. But neither goals nor assists were forthcoming and, following Bruno Fernandes' arrival, Pereira's game time became limited.

United were happy to allow Pereira to link up with Italian side Lazio on a season-long loan.

Diogo Dalot to AC Milan, season-long loan

A deal that split opinion among many United fans, given Dalot is still only 21 and has shown decent potential at times. Yet with Telles' arrival in the pipeline, it appeared United were happy to let the full-back go out on loan.

Roma enquired about the Portuguese player but United agreed a deal with AC Milan until the end of the season.

Chris Smalling to Roma, £13.6m plus add-ons

Smalling enjoyed an excellent season on loan with Roma in 2019/20 and informed United at the start of the year of his desire to join the Serie A side in a permanent move.

The deadline day deal hung in the balance for a while, but United eventually received £13.6m up front for Smalling and could be due up to £4.5m in add-ons.

Angel Gomes, released

The diminutive playmaker was a product of United's academy and highly rated by many after being handed his debut by Jose Mourinho back in 2017. He never quite got his first team opportunities under Solskjaer and, after being given no assurances over his game time, opted not to renew his contract.

He then joined Portuguese club Boavista on loan from French side Lille

Other loan departures: Joel Pereira (to Huddersfield), Tahith Chong (to Werder Bremen), James Garner (to Watford), Dylan Levitt (to Charlton), Aliou Traore (to Caen), Matej Kovar (to Doncaster), Max Taylor (to Kidderminster).

Other United released players : Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Demetri Mitchell, Ethan Hamilton, Dion McGhee, George Tanner, Aidan Barlow, Kieran O’Hara, Alex Fojticek, Largie Ramazani, Ben Hockenhull, Oliver Denham, Deji Sotona.
