Wilfried Zaha has reportedly told Crystal Palace he wants to leave the club this summer.

Manchester United could receive a boost to their transfer coffers this summer if Wilfried Zaha leaves Crystal Palace.

Zaha was once again crucial for Palace this past season with his 11 goals in 30 games but, according to a report in The Times, he has told the club he wants to leave.

It's reported that the 28-year-old wants a move completed before the squad returns for pre-season training, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton all being linked in previous summers.

It's not the first time Zaha has wanted to leave Selhurst Park but each year the Eagles have managed to put off any potential suitors with their lofty asking price for the Ivory Coast international.

Yet, with just two years remaining on his contract, the forward's value has naturally dropped, making a potential move more likely this summer.

Aside from being their most important player, Palace made such high demands for Zaha because a sizeable 25 per cent of any fee they do receive will be owed to United.

United originally bought Zaha from the South London club in 2013 for £10.58million but he struggled to adapt in Manchester and after loan spells at Cardiff City and Palace he was sold back to the club in 2015.

United inserted the sell-on clause in the £6million deal but Palace then asked them to waive the clause in discussions over the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Old Trafford in 2019.

United refused to budge and, as a result, could receive a tidy fee this summer if Zaha finally leaves Palace for a second time.

The club also have a sell-on clause on Romelu Lukaku, who had been linked with a return to the Premier League with either Chelsea or Manchester City in the last week.

However, the Belgian striker committed his future to Inter while on international duty.

“Yes, I am staying," he told HLN. "I've already had contact with the man who becomes our new manager (after Antonio Conte's exit). Maybe I shouldn't say that yet... but it was a very positive conversation.”
