Keep up to date with all the latest Man United transfer rumours and breaking news ahead of Euro 2020.

England will play their opening game of the upcoming European Championship against Croatia on Sunday.

Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford will be hoping to make Gareth Southgate's starting XI, but Harry Maguire won't be available to play as he continues to recover from his ankle injury, while it seems highly unlikely Dean Henderson would play over Jordan Pickford.

Manchester United have made their interest in Jadon Sancho known — the 21-year-old winger is also part of Southgate's 26-man England squad for the tournament — and yesterday details emerged claiming the Reds have submitted a bid for Sancho, although it has reportedly been rejected by Borussia Dortmund.

Reports also suggest United have now begun talks with Paul Pogba 's representatives over extending his deal at Old Trafford. The enigmatic French midfielder i approaching the final year of his contract.

ICYMI: Manchester United new 2021/22 home and away shirt kit details 'leaked'

Manchester's United's new 2021/22 home and away kits for next season have been 'leaked' online.

Fresh details from Footy Headlines claim to have revealed images of the kits United will wear next season, as they look to mount a serious Premier League challenge after finishing 12 points behind Manchester City in second place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this term.

Once again, the kits will be made by Adidas, but United 's world-record deal with Chevrolet - which was worth £64m each year - has now expired and German company Team Viewer will now sponsor the shirts in a deal said to be worth £47m per year.

Real Madrid 'set asking price' for Raphael Varane

El Partidazo de COPE claim Real Madrid want £52m for Raphael Varane this summer.

Varane's contract expires at the end of next season and the MEN understand United have begun talks to sign Varane, with the Spanish club open to a departure to prevent him from leaving for free.

The stat that explains Manchester United transfer interest in Jadon Sancho

Some people fear change, but there's no denying it's often needed in all aspects of life, including in football.

When Jadon Sancho swapped Manchester for Germany four years ago it certainly raised eyebrows, but the youngster studying at Borussia Dortmund's renowned school of first-team football has proved to be an inspired decision and he's now stylishly graduated.

Manchester United have made their admiration for Sancho no secret and, while talks broke down last year over the possibility of the 21-year-old signing for the Reds, it seems this summer could finally be the moment for the transfer saga to reach its conclusion.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer views Sancho as an ideal signing and it's not hard to see why, although the Norweigan isn't alone in his approval of the player, and quite naturally his outstanding talent is attracting links from other elite clubs in Europe.

Sancho could sign for United this summer.

United bid for Coman 'expected'

Manchester United are 'expected' to make a bid to sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman this summer, Sport1 says.

However, such a move would only be targeted for the 24-year-old if United were unable to snatch Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund's clutches.

Maguire targets Czech Republic return

Harry Maguire is hoping to be fit enough to make the bench for England's final group-stage match against the Czech Republic at Euro 2020, The Guardian reports.

The United captain returned to Three Lions training on Thursday but will miss Sunday's opener against Croatia and is also expected to miss the tie against Croatia the following Friday.

Sancho on his future

If you missed it, here is what Jadon Sancho had to say when asked about transfer speculation.

“I don’t really look at it [the speculation]. During the season, I always focus on myself & the team,"

Andreas Pereira looking for move this summer

Andreas Pereira is preparing to leave Manchester United on a permanent deal this summer, with the midfielder assessing his options after a year away on loan.

The Brazilian spent the 2020/21 season on loan with Lazio, but MEN Sport understands the Serie A club are reluctant to keep Pereira on a permanent basis because of the cost.

He could be loaned out again for next season, but it's understood that Pereira would like a clean break from United, with his playing time likely to be very limited if he does remain at Old Trafford.

Pereira only managed one goal and four assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for Lazio. And the Rome-based club are unlikely to exercise the option, including in the loan deal, to buy the player for €27 million.

It's understood there is interest from clubs in Spain and Italy this summer, with Pereira's United contract expiring in two years.

Burnley in race for United-linked defender

Lingard to West Ham in doubt

Former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer believes West Ham will find it difficult to sign Jesse Lingard this summer, amid doubts over David Moyes' future as Hammers manager, as well as Manchester United's asking price for the player.

This is what he told ThisIsFutbol:

“You can’t say it [Moyes leaving] ends it. I mean, it all depends on who comes in as manager.

“Obviously they’ve hit it off and he’s gone there because of David Moyes. But I really don’t believe that West Ham can afford Jesse Lingard anyhow.”

Trippier bid difficulties for United?

Manchester United have seen an opening bid of £10million for Kieran Trippier rejected, according to reports.

Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Atletico Madrid will only sell the England full-back if his £35million release clause is met, but that is way above what United appear to be offering right now.

'Pogba always plays better for France'

Former Liverpool and England star John Barnes has said Paul Pogba respects playing for France far more than he does Manchester United.

This is what Barnes said, speaking to BonusCodeBets, amid doubts over Pogba's club future on the eve of Euro 2020:

“Paul Pogba has always played better for France than for Manchester United, because he has a different attitude when he plays for his country.

“He is much more respectful of the French national team and his team-mates, in terms of not seeing himself as the superstar, the most important person. Whereas when he plays for Manchester United, there are times when he wants to dominate the whole situation, and he doesn’t do that for France.

“That’s been the case for a few years, including when they won the World Cup in 2018. He puts in a much better, much more professional, committed, determined, humble performance for France.

“For United, maybe because of his price tag and because he feels like a superstar because he cost £90million, he tries too hard to do special things.”

Daniel James relishing Euros pressure

United winger Daniel James has said he now thrives off pressure, speaking ahead of his involvement in Wales' Euro 2020 campaign. James admitted he no longer gets nervous before big games.

This is what James told Sky Sports News:

"I think being involved in a lot of pressured games obviously helps. They've calmed down now, definitely.

"Before the game you have a few butterflies, but it's more excitement than nerves and as soon as I get out on that pitch I forget it all, so I wouldn't say I get too nervous anymore.

"I love the pressure. I like the excitement and I kind of thrive off it. Obviously, I've got to set myself my own targets and I want to contribute to the team as much as I can, getting goals and assists and, if I'm not, it's always working hard on the pitch and trying to do my best."

United warned about City Kane interest

Manchester United have been told to 'be wary' if Harry Kane arrives at Man City this summer.

The England captain has informed Tottenham of his desire to leave, as he hunts the trophies that have escaped him so far in his career, and both United and City are on the hunt for his signature. The MEN understands United are long-term admirers of Kane.

But England icon Terry Butcher has warned United that City will be even harder to overcome if Kane joins Pep Guardiola's ranks. City are favourites to sign him and this is what Butcher told PlayOJO:

"Sergio Aguero didn’t play many games for Manchester City this season and they still romped home. They’re a very flexible team, they don’t have to have a recognised striker in the team but they would like options because it’s a Plan B or a Plan C for them.

"If Manchester City could go and sign another top-class striker then wow, that’s going to be a massive problem for the rest of the Premier League. They're a quality side, their movement is exceptional and they’re horrible to play against because you never know who’s going to pop up.

"They're great to watch in the final third because they unlock defences so easily but that comes through good movement and hard work.

"I’d be wary if I was Man United, Liverpool or Chelsea I’d be looking at Manchester City and saying I hope you don’t sign anybody else because our task is going to be even harder."

Harry Kane has been linked with a move to City.

Opinion: Four United players who have problem if Sancho signs

Manchester United are increasingly confident they can (finally) sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, with the Bundesliga club lowering its price tag for the England international from where it was 12 months ago.

So United fans can tentatively get excited about seeing Sancho in action for the Three Lions throughout this summer's Euro 2020 championship.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's other players, however, may have an issue on their hands if and when Sancho does eventually arrive. United haven't signed a 'proper' right-winger since Nani and Antonio Valencia more than a decade ago, so why must so many in the current squad be concerned about Sancho?

Roy Keane admits he is disappointed with Paul Pogba

Roy Keane has admitted he's disappointed with Paul Pogba because he hasn't made Manchester United 'much better' in his opinion.

There were high hopes for Pogba when United made him the world's most expensive player for £89m five years ago, but there's an argument to be made that the Frenchman has never really hit the lofty heights that he consistently reached with Juventus.

Now, Keane has delivered his verdict on his time at the club, speaking to SkyBet:

"I like Paul as a player, simple as that. From what I hear, he's a pretty decent human being, a good character.

"Slightly different in the way he leads his life, but he's a talented boy.

"Again the one thing I'm disappointed with is, I don't think he's made Man Utd that much better or the players around him better."

Keane has delivered his verdict on Pogba.

Maguire gives United and England injury boost ahead of Euro 2020

Harry Maguire has returned to England training on the eve of Euro 2020, in a major boost for the Three Lions before their tournament opener.

Manchester United will also be encouraged to see their captain back out on the training pitches at St George's Park, as he steps up his recovery from an ankle ligament injury.

Maguire missed the climax to United's season, playing no part in their Europa League final defeat on penalties to Villarreal — the first time he'd missed games through injury since arriving at Old Trafford in July 2019.

United 'open Pogba contract talks'

United have opened discussions with Paul Pogba's representatives over a new contract, according to Sky Sports News.

Pogba only has a year remaining on his current deal and has continued to be linked with a move to the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and PSG, with agent Mino Raiola repeatedly claiming he wants to leave.

However, talks have now reportedly begun over extending his stay at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho speaks his future amid United transfer interest

Jadon Sancho has broken his silence on his future amid interest from Manchester United and other top European clubs.

United are long-term admirers of Sancho and they are attempting to sign the 21-year-old Borussia Dortmund star this summer after talks collapsed over a move for the winger last year, but it now seems the saga is set to finally reach its conclusion.

Sancho has scored 16 goals and made 20 assists in all competitions for Dortmund this season and his excellent performances have earned him a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the upcoming European Championship.
