Frank Lampard became Everton new manager today on a contract to 2024 and made Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek his first signing, albeit on loan, until the end of the season.

Crystal Palace looked to have landed the Netherlands international on a similar deal, but the new managerial appointment swung it in Everton’s favor on deadline day.
The player has said Lampard had played a big part in his move.
“I had a really positive meeting with the new coach,” he said, as quoted by The Guardian. “We have the same ideas about football and he had a lot of influence on my decision.”

The move comes six months after it was initially proposed but rejected by United.
It is understood that the loan deal does not include a buy option.
