Ronaldo’s Man United future uncertain after Rangnick concerns

It has been reported that interim manager Ralf Rangnick is concerned about the dismal record of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored just once in his last 10 appearances.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Rangnick has doubts about Ronaldo’s ability to lead the Red Devils’ offensive line next season.

On a two-year contract with the option to extend until 2024, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United last summer.

With only one goal against Brighton and Hove Albion over his first 20 appearances in all competitions during his second term at Old Trafford, the 37-year-old has struggled so far in 2022.

Edinson Cavani’s bad luck with injuries and Marcus Rashford’s abysmal form have put Manchester United in the midst of a striking dilemma, which manager Ralf Rangnick must now address.

Rangnick recently stated, as quoted by ESPN, that the possibility of United signing a new striker in the summer is “clear.”

When Edison’s contract expires in the summertime, a new center forward must be brought in to replace him. You can’t miss this one. “I’m sure everybody knows of that,” I believe.”

Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Old Trafford for the second time this summer, as according former Bayern Munich manager Philipp Rangnick.
